Blog #5- Box Man Question

Why do people think that, in society, bigger is better?
If you have more "friends" in high school, a teenager is considered popular. If someone has a big house with seven cars their noted as lucky, when in reality they could be in debt up to their perfectly curled eyelashes. With a short story such as The Box Man, he is completely alone with hardly any possessions or materials items but he is absolutely satisfied with his simple life. He reads the paper, people watches, listens to the voices in his head, and minds his own business day by day. He is what more people should take a good look at, and then review themselves. Do I really need to buy this brand new SUV for my 16 year old daughter? Teenagers also need to revise their actions and appreciate what they are given by their guardians.
